Smita Jacob photographs what everyone wants to remember. She's hardly ever seen without a camera in hand and prefers being behind it, even when she's in front.
Clients include Neiman Marcus, Indochino, New York Fashion Week, Boston Fashion Week, Dress for Succes, DressCode Boston, Zoora, local designers, luxury hotels around the world, Toronto International Film Festival and Mom's Healthy Secrets.
She is also an official blogger for Urbanspoon and recently initiated the Style Profile for Nashua Soup Kitchen Project involving many of Boston's movers n' shakers.
Her photographs have been exhibited at the Art Open House Exhibition at The Boston Convention Center, and Francesca's Cafe in Boston's South End. Her Instagrams have been exhibited at the #GoingMobile OpenHearts events.
Among other accolades, she has designed covers of Med Chem Comm Magazine, and has also published in Lifestyles Magazine, Air Canada's enRoute Online Publication, shot for Mom's Healthy Secrets Cereal Brand and won a Flash Photo Contest.
As a globe trotter and travel photographer, a few of her backdrops have been London, Greece, Amsterdam, Paris, Scotland, Hawaii, India, Banff, San Francisco, New Orleans, Trinidad, Quebec City, Miami, Montreal, Toronto and New York.
Prior to launching Hogger & Co., Smita spent more than ten years in the animation industry with a Bachelors in Art & Art History from the University of Toronto and Post-Grad in computer animation from Sheridan College. She has worked on Emmy and Gemini Award winning television shows including Nick Jr.'s The Backyardigans and Peep and the Big Wide World. Other television credits include Justin Time, Macy's Christmas Special: Little Spirit , Super Why, Dudson, Naughty Naughty Pets, The Save Ums, Franny's Feet and Hey Joel.
