M-Lizzle

You knew it was coming!  Of course, a trip to the Louvre is mandatory!  We were excited to see the Mona Lisa, and surprised to find NO line-up at the Carousel Du Louvre entrance (at the inverted pyramid). I knew how small the painting really is so I wasn't shocked when I first saw it. In fact, I was more interested in the crowd around the M.Lis rather than the painting itself. And I was even more happy to discover other paintings at the Louvre I didn't expect to see.

Haha, when I was there, I didn't get it. So Many "unknown" beautiful art pieces but everybody gathered around the Mona Lisa. But then again, she IS world famous :)

I love that second shot!

Yeah, for me, the most memorable paintings were in the hall with the neo-classical stuff. David's oath of horatii and the gericault raft were awesome to see in person. Gigantic.

Isn't it amazing how big this place is! I wish I could have had more energy to walk around. You could spend days here! I did see the Mona Lisa though. I think it is quite surreal to see the real thing in person!

I had to peek at the croissants again :) Ok I saw this painting and I was so shocked at how small it was...and we had to see it so fast b/c of the lines I felt like I couldn't really enjoy it! Oh well. Great pics as usual :) I feel like I am there again.

I hadn't heard of the Movember mustache until you said it. How funny! I am surrounded by someone with a mustache all the time, so I guess that's a yes. haha
