Amsterdam: Sheep + Bicycle

One thing you see plenty of in Amsterdam is bicycles. I was expecting them, sure, but not this many.

And beware of crossing the path of a cyclist. They get very angry. You have to look both ways before getting from one side of the street to the next. The cyclist path is given more importance than the pedestrian sidewalk.

That's a fantastic monochrome - I think I've never seen so many bicycles in one place. I like the reflection of the metal and the rain a lot. It's a very atmosphereic image.

Thanks Shawna! Martina, I'd never seen so many bicycles piles on top of each other. It was car-aazy.

That's why I decided to use the trams a lot when I was there! Also...I don't know how to ride a bicycle :( Did you get on one to explore?

Hahaha, I used the trams too, and I'm not that savvy on a bicycle, certainly would have gotten myself hurt if I'd tried there! :)

Ah! How fun! I JUST posted about bicycling in the Netherlands a few posts ago. It's such an amazing system...I'm totally jealous.

I just saw your post Clair, it's true, it's a very structured system and works so well. I saw whole families riding down the street holding hands, it was incredible!
